The thing that requires constant care should bring enough pleasure to make that care welcome.
RESILIENCE
RESILIENCE
Upkeep is a running cost, and not everything you own is earning it. The boat, the garden and the fish tank all ask for hours every month, and some of them give back enough to make those hours pleasant while others have quietly become obligations inherited from your own earlier enthusiasm. The test is how you feel walking towards it now.
Think of the demanding thing in your life and ask whether the care still feels like part of the pleasure. If it does, spend the time gladly. If it has become a duty you dread, you are allowed to pass it to someone whose enthusiasm is current.
What do you maintain faithfully without enjoying it any more?
