Some things become easier once you stop demanding they happen immediately.

STILLNESS

WHAT THIS MEANS

The demand for immediacy adds a second difficulty on top of the first. Now you have both the thing that has not happened and your insistence that it should have, and the insistence is frequently the heavier of the two. Drop the deadline you imposed and the situation becomes merely unfinished rather than failing.

Find something you have been demanding on a schedule and try releasing the timeline while keeping the goal. Notice what changes in how it feels and in how you act toward it. Usually the pressure was yours to remove, and removing it makes you better at the work as well.
