Learning goes better when you can distinguish a difficult step from a confusing instruction.

Being stuck feels the same from either cause. You cannot proceed, and it is not obvious whether the step is genuinely hard or the instruction was unclear, so people assume the fault is theirs and push harder. Effort against a badly worded sentence does nothing. Telling them apart is often the difference between an afternoon lost and ten minutes spent.
Check whether you could describe what you are being asked to do the next time you stall. If you cannot, the problem is the instruction rather than your determination. If you can and still cannot do it, that is honest difficulty and worth the effort.
