Character is built through decisions too small to impress anyone.

LEADERSHIP
The decisions that form character are almost never impressive. Returning the extra change, doing the tedious part properly, keeping a small promise, not repeating something you were told in confidence. None of it will be remarked on, and all of it is what you are made of when a larger moment arrives.
Stop waiting for a significant test and treat the ordinary ones as the real thing. Identify one small standard you have been letting slide and hold it this week. The point is not the individual act but the practice, because larger decisions are made by whoever the practice has produced.
Which small right thing did you do today unnoticed?
