People sometimes call a situation simple because somebody else handles its complications.

Simplicity is frequently a description of your own position rather than of the situation. The meeting is easy because someone booked the room, the trip is straightforward because someone tracked the passports, the process is simple because a person downstream absorbs everything that does not fit. Complications do not vanish, they get held. Whoever calls it simple is usually standing where the holding is invisible.
Before agreeing that something is easy, ask who deals with it when it goes wrong. If the answer is one particular person, thanking them by name is a start, and asking what would help is better.
