Curiosity keeps intelligence from becoming arrogant.

CREATIVITY
Genuine curiosity and arrogance cannot occupy the same space. If you are actually interested in what you do not yet understand, you are constantly in contact with the size of your own ignorance, and that keeps intelligence useful rather than self-admiring. Arrogance usually arrives when someone stops asking.
As a practical matter, notice whether you have been asking questions lately or only answering them. If it has been mostly answering, deliberately find something you know nothing about and spend time being a beginner in it. That contact does more to keep you level than any amount of intending to be humble.
