A place changes meaning when you begin going there for someone instead of something.

The same building can be two entirely different places. A cafe is a cafe until it becomes where you meet your friend; a hospital is a building until somebody you love is inside it, and afterwards the address carries a person rather than a function. Meaning attaches through people faster than through anything else. Places become significant by being where somebody was.
Notice which addresses in your life have been rewritten by a person. If somewhere has gone sour because of a hard time, you can go once for a good reason and let it hold something else too.
Which place do you now visit for a person, not a purpose?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
