The unfinished model on a shelf can preserve enthusiasm or postpone an honest decision.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Something half-made sits in two states at once. It can be a genuine pause, a project you will come back to when there is time and light and appetite. It can also be a way of avoiding an admission, since finishing it would end it and discarding it would mean saying the interest has gone. The dust decides which one it is, and only you can read the dust.
Pick up one stalled project and ask whether you want the doing of it or the having done. If the answer is neither, it is allowed to leave, and the shelf can hold something you are actually working on.
Which unfinished project are you keeping to avoid deciding about it?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
