A small plan can give anticipation somewhere specific to settle.

GRATITUDE
Looking forward to something needs a place to land. Without a fixed point, the wish to have something good ahead drifts into vague restlessness, and a week can pass with nothing in it to lean towards. A modest arrangement with a date attached does most of the work a large one would, because much of the pleasure is in the waiting. Size matters far less than definiteness.
Put one small thing in the calendar for the coming fortnight and tell somebody about it. A walk, a film, or a meal with a friend will hold as much anticipation as a holiday.
