A familiar song can be enough reason to pause without turning the pause into a lesson.
GRATITUDE
GRATITUDE
Not everything enjoyable has to be put to work. There is a habit of taking a good moment and immediately asking what it teaches, what it says about you, how it might be built into a practice. That habit is well meant and it slowly makes pleasure into another task. Sometimes stopping for three minutes because the song is good is complete in itself, and the attempt to extract more from it is what spoils it.
Let one small enjoyment this week stay unexamined. Do not photograph it, note it down, or work out what it means. Just have it, and then carry on with the afternoon.
When did you last pause for something with no purpose attached?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
