Sharing a pleasure invites judgement, and judgement changes the pleasure even when it is favourable. Something kept to yourself never has to justify itself, be ranked, or be explained to people who would find it silly. That freedom is a real part of why it stays enjoyable.

Keep at least one thing you like without an audience, and resist the urge to turn it into content or conversation. If a friend tells you about something small they love, receive it without an assessment attached.
