The object forgotten at home can show how much of comfort comes from small familiar arrangements.

Comfort turns out to be assembled from very small parts. You only notice the specific pillow, the particular charger, the spoon you always use, once one of them is missing and the evening feels slightly wrong in a way you cannot immediately locate. This is not fussiness. It is evidence that ease is built rather than given, out of arrangements you made so gradually that they became invisible.
List three small things that make an ordinary day feel like yours. Knowing them is useful when you travel, when you are unwell, and when someone asks what would actually help you.
