Language can solve problems or give existing problems better vocabulary.

Naming a feeling or a situation precisely can help enormously, and it can also become a substitute for changing anything. A vocabulary of terms for what is happening feels like progress and can quietly become a sophisticated way of describing a problem you keep having.
Ask whether your understanding of a situation has produced any change in it. If you can describe it in detail and nothing has moved for a year, the language is doing the work that action should. Choose one concrete thing to actually alter, and let the description follow rather than lead.
Which problem have you described beautifully and never actually addressed?
