A live performance asks people to share a present that cannot be kept exactly.

Some experiences exist only while they are happening. A room of people hearing the same sound at the same moment produces something that a recording can document and cannot reproduce, because half of it was the shared present tense and the knowledge that it would not come again. That impermanence is not a flaw to be engineered away. It is the reason the room feels the way it does.
Go to something live this month, small and local if that is what is near. Then resist filming most of it, and let the fact that it is unrepeatable be part of what you get.
What have you attended lately that no recording could hold?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
