A garden shared with wildlife will not keep every human arrangement intact.
RESILIENCE
RESILIENCE
Sharing ground with animals means giving up some control over how it looks. Bulbs get dug up, seedlings get eaten, a fox flattens the same patch of grass every night, and none of that is a failure of gardening. It is the price of a garden being alive rather than a display, and it has to be paid in things you had planned.
Decide in advance which parts you will defend and which you will let go, so the losses feel chosen rather than inflicted. Net the fruit if you must, and leave a corner completely alone. Somewhere in the trade there is a version you can live with.
What order would you give up to let something wild stay?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
