Buddy’s short film, from Said Daily
Buddy, the small character with a quotation mark for hair, sits at a wooden table under a tree in a garden while a blue butterfly drifts past. He picks up his phone and its light fills his face as he smiles. Butterflies gather, and the film opens out onto the whole garden, white flowers among the hydrangeas. The film has sound.
Everyone Needs a Buddy.
Buddy got his name for a simple reason: everyone needs one. Someone to remind you of your strength when you forget it, celebrate the little victories, and offer a different perspective when life feels overwhelming.
That’s the heart of Said Daily—bringing encouragement, inspiration, and meaningful words into everyday life, one quote at a time. Buddy is more than just a character; he’s a symbol of the support we all need from time to time.
He doesn’t have all the answers, and he doesn’t need to. He’s simply a little reminder that you’re never too far from a fresh perspective, a reason to smile, or the motivation to keep moving forward. Because sometimes, all it takes is the right words at the right moment to make a difference.
And everyone deserves a Buddy.
A thought for today
“A spotlight doesn’t change you. It just turns the brightness up on what was already there.”
