Your mind becomes your ally when discipline stops allowing fear to chair the meeting.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Fear is not the enemy and it is not going anywhere. The problem is when it gets to run the meeting, set the agenda, and decide which options are even discussed, at which point every plan you make is really a plan for avoiding discomfort. Discipline is what keeps it in the room as one voice among several. It gets to speak; it does not get to chair.
When you are deciding something, let yourself hear the fearful case in full, then deliberately ask what the ambitious case and the practical case have to say. Write all three down if you need to. The point is not to override fear but to stop it from being the only speaker.
Which decision are you letting fear run right now?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
