Work becomes lighter when quitting is no longer part of the conversation.
RESILIENCE
RESILIENCE
A great deal of the exhaustion in hard work comes from the daily re-litigation of whether to continue. Every session costs you the task plus the argument, and the argument is often heavier than the task. When leaving is genuinely off the table, all that energy goes back into the work itself. The load does not shrink; the friction does.
Make the decision once, for a defined period, and then refuse to reopen it during that period. Not forever, which is too large to promise, but for a season you can actually see the end of. You will notice how much lighter the days get when the question is closed.
