Unfamiliar and bad produce nearly identical sensations in the body, and the mind supplies reasons afterward to justify the flinch. Once you know this, a whole category of your reactions becomes suspect. Some of the things you have dismissed were only new.
When something puts you off, delay the verdict long enough to ask whether you have any real grounds. Go back to one thing you rejected quickly and give it a second, slower encounter. You will find some genuinely were not for you, and a few were simply early.
What did you dislike at first and later come to love?
