Your best work may begin after the idea you were most attached to fails.

CREATIVITY
Attachment narrows what you can see. While a favourite idea is alive, everything else is judged by whether it serves that idea, and its failure is what finally releases the attention for something better. The loss is real and the opening is also real, and both can be true at once.
After something you cared about does not work, resist deciding what it means for a while. Keep making. Look for what you learned that only that failure could have taught, and let the next thing be shaped by it rather than by grief for the old plan.
Which plan are you holding onto past the point it works?
