Create before asking whether everyone will understand.

CREATIVITY
Asking whether everyone will understand imports an audience into the room before the thing exists, and that audience always votes for the familiar. Comprehension can be worked on later, once there is a work to make comprehensible. Reversing the order means only making things that were already understood.
Let the first version answer to you alone. Once it exists, then ask what a reader needs in order to meet it, and add that deliberately. Clarity added afterward is craft, clarity demanded beforehand is usually just caution.
What are you holding back until you can explain it perfectly?
