Skill turns imagination into something other people can finally experience.

Imagination alone stays private. Skill is the translation layer, the thing that lets a picture in your head become an experience someone else can actually have, and without it the vision only ever exists as your description of it. This is why practice matters even to people whose ideas are genuinely good.

Identify the specific technical gap between what you can imagine and what you can currently produce. Work on that one gap rather than on skill in general. The vision does not need protecting, it needs a route out.
