In life, we shall find many men that are great, and some men that are good, but very few men that are both great and good.

LEADERSHIP
Ability and decency turn out to be largely independent, which disappoints everyone who wants them bundled. Getting a great deal done often requires a hardness that makes a person difficult to be near, and being genuinely good frequently comes with a reluctance to do the things that produce scale. When the two do appear together it is rare enough to be worth studying. Most of us have to choose which we are optimising for, at least at the margin.
Look at who you admire and be honest about which of the two you are admiring. Then ask which you would rather be remembered for, and whether your week reflects that.
Which would you rather be remembered as, impressive or decent?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
