Mental pleasures never cloy; unlike those of the body, they are increased by repetition, approved of by reflection, and strengthened by enjoyment.

CREATIVITY
Some pleasures wear out with use and some get better. Anything purely physical tends to need increasing amounts to deliver the same return, and it rarely survives thinking about afterwards, whereas understanding something, making something, or following a difficult subject deepens instead and holds up when you look back. That is a real difference in kind. It also means the two should not be budgeted the same way.
Give one of the durable pleasures a proper share of your week rather than the scraps. The test is simple: which of your enjoyments did you feel better about the next morning.
Which pleasure of yours has grown richer with repetition?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
