Vice has more martyrs than virtue; and it often happens that men suffer more to be lost than to be saved.

RESILIENCE
People will endure a great deal for things that are doing them harm. The effort poured into maintaining a bad habit, a wrong relationship or a life that does not fit is frequently larger than the effort the alternative would require, and yet it feels easier because it is familiar and already underway. Suffering is not a reliable sign that you are on a worthy road. Sometimes it is just the cost of staying where you are.
Add up honestly what your current arrangement takes out of you each week. Compare it with what changing would take once, and notice which number you have been avoiding.
What are you suffering for that will not repay the suffering?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
