Faced with the size and order of everything, some people find pure accident harder to swallow than stories they have every reason to doubt. Which conclusion a person cannot make themselves accept is different information from which one they can defend, and it is often the more revealing of the two. Nobody is obliged to resolve the question to notice how it works in them.
Notice which conclusions you resist, in any part of your life. Ask whether you are resisting the evidence or the consequence, since only one of those can be argued with, and be honest about which one is doing the work.
What do you believe about the world that you cannot prove?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
