Music cleanses the understanding, inspires it, and lifts it into a realm which it would not reach if it were left to itself.

REFLECTION
Certain things rearrange your thinking without addressing it directly. An hour of music leaves the mind clearer and larger than any amount of deliberate effort would have, and nothing in the content explains it; no argument was made and no information added. What happened is that a different part of you was exercised, and the rest came along.
Build one such hour into the week and do not justify it by its usefulness. Listen without doing anything else, and not as background to work. Notice what you think about afterwards, and how differently the same problems look once the mind has been somewhere else first.
What lifts your thinking somewhere it cannot climb alone?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
