STILLNESS
Ageing in the body is not optional; ageing in the temperament is. The hardening people mean when they say someone has got old is not about skin, it is about curiosity narrowing, opinions setting, and the assumption that nothing new is worth the effort. Plenty of people arrive there early, and some never do.
Notice the sentence that begins with what you no longer bother with. Take one item off that list this month and do it badly, for the sake of keeping the door open rather than for any result.
What has hardened in you that you would like back soft?
