LEADERSHIP
LEADERSHIP
Wanting to be needed is a normal human thing that becomes a problem when it sits behind leadership. It quietly shapes what you delegate, what you explain, and which capabilities you allow to develop, all in the direction of keeping yourself central. Nobody intends this and it happens anyway.
Ask honestly whether you would feel diminished if your team needed you less. If the answer is yes, that is worth knowing, because it is currently affecting decisions you believe are practical.
What do you keep doing yourself because being needed feels good?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
