You can accomplish many things and still avoid asking what any of them were for.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
It is entirely possible to be productive for decades without ever asking what any of it was for, and productivity is a good hiding place because it always supplies a next task. The question does not go away, it just waits until something forces it, usually later than you would want.
Set aside an hour to ask it while nothing is forcing you. Write down what you are actually working toward. You may find the answer is fine, and you may find it needs revising while there is time.
What have you achieved without ever asking why you wanted it?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
