How many worthy men have we seen survive their own reputation!

LEADERSHIP
A reputation has its own lifespan and it does not always match yours. Good people watch their standing decline while they are still working, sometimes for reasons that have nothing to do with the quality of what they do. Being well regarded happens in other people’s heads, and you have less control over it than effort suggests.
Keep hold of the part you can answer for, which is the work itself. If your name is currently worth less than your work, carry on and give it time. If it is worth more, do not spend the difference.
What are you still known for that no longer describes you?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
