Time ripens all things. No man is born wise.

Nobody arrives knowing. People who seem to have understood things early mostly had a head start in exposure, and the understanding you want takes a number of years that cannot be compressed by wanting it sooner. Feeling behind is nearly universal and is a poor guide to where you actually are.

Rather than measuring yourself against somebody further along, measure against yourself two years ago. Keep doing the thing that has been ripening. And be patient with the younger person in front of you who has not got there yet, since the only cure available is time.
