Life in itself is neither good nor evil, it is the scene of good or evil, as you make it.

REFLECTION
Circumstances supply the setting and not the verdict. The same year can be the worst one somebody has lived through and the year they became useful to other people, and what decides which is largely what was done inside it. This is not a claim that suffering is a gift. It is a claim about where the meaning gets added.
Rather than asking whether this is a good period, ask what you are making of it. Pick one thing you can be responsible for in the middle of whatever is going on. The conditions are not up to you and that part is.
Which circumstance of yours is neutral until you decide about it?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
