The virtue of a man ought to be measured not by his extraordinary exertions, but by his every-day conduct.

LEADERSHIP
Character is what you do on the days nobody is watching or grading. Big gestures are cheap in a sense, because they arrive with an audience and a rush of feeling to carry them. How you speak to someone tired at the end of a long day is a better reading, since nothing is pushing you to do it well.
Pick one everyday behaviour and raise it slightly: how you answer messages, how you treat whoever serves you, how you speak about people who are not in the room. Do it for a fortnight without mentioning it. That is the level where change actually holds.
What do you do on unremarkable days that shows who you are?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
