The importance of your life cannot be calculated entirely from what strangers can see.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Strangers see the summary, a job, a house, a public role. The parts of your life that carry most of its weight are not visible from that distance and never will be. Calculating your importance from the visible fraction produces a badly wrong number in either direction.
When you find yourself assessing your life through imagined outside eyes, notice how little that viewer actually has access to. Then judge from where you are standing, with the information only you have.
What would a stranger completely miss about your life?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
