Everything is worth what its purchaser will pay for it.

REFLECTION
Value is not a property of the thing, it is whatever someone will actually hand over for it on the day. That applies to houses, to work, and to the hours you sell, and it explains why something can feel priceless to you and fetch very little in a market. The two figures are answering different questions.
When selling anything, including your own time, find out what people are genuinely paying rather than what you think it deserves. When buying, remember the price says more about demand than about quality. And keep a few things you would never test against a market at all.
What do you own that only you would value?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
