STILLNESS
Anything that can be taken was never fully yours, and treating it as permanent is what makes its departure feel like theft. Held more loosely, the same possessions and positions can still be enjoyed without the constant low effort of defending them. The point is not to stop caring but to stop counting them as part of yourself.
Take one thing you would describe as yours: a title, an object, a run of good results. Imagine it gone and see what remains of you. Whatever is still standing there is the part worth building on, and the rest can be held with an open hand.
What could be taken tomorrow that you treat as permanent?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
