GRATITUDE
Someone who knows you properly does more for your condition than most remedies. Being able to say the true thing to one person, without editing, relieves something that nothing else reaches, and it works even when the situation itself does not change. Part of it is being understood; part of it is that a friend who has known you a long time can tell you what is actually happening when you cannot see it yourself.
Call the person you have not spoken to properly in months. Not to catch up efficiently, but to have a real conversation. Most friendships fade through neglect rather than disagreement.
Which friend have you not called since things got hard?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
