Avoid popularity, it has many snares, and no real benefit.

STILLNESS
Being widely liked comes with strings and little substance. Once a crowd approves of you, you start making decisions with an eye to keeping the approval, and the range of things you are willing to say narrows. What you get in exchange is a feeling rather than a resource. A few people who actually know you are worth more than a large number who like the version of you they have seen.
Check whether a recent decision was shaped by how it would look. Do one thing this week that will not be admired, because it is right, and see whether anything you value is lost.
Which agreement did you make only to stay generally liked?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
