I can easier teach twenty what were good to be done, than be one of the twenty to follow mine own teaching.

REFLECTION
Knowing the right thing to do is the easy half. You can lay out for someone else exactly what they should do, with clarity and no effort at all, and then fail to do the same thing yourself an hour later. Advice costs nothing because it is given from outside the situation, where none of the tiredness, fear or habit applies.
Take a piece of advice you have given someone recently and apply it to yourself this week, exactly as you stated it. Notice what makes it harder from the inside. That difficulty is the thing you should have been discussing.
Which rule do you set for others and quietly exempt yourself from?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
