To be honest as this world goes, is to be one man picked out of ten thousand.

LEADERSHIP
Complete honesty is rarer than most people assume, because almost everyone shades things slightly and does not count it. The small adjustments, the omission that makes the story cleaner, the agreement you did not actually feel: none of them register as lying to the person doing them. Which means that being genuinely straight puts you in a very small group. Rarity is what gives it its value.
Spend one day counting your own small adjustments rather than trying to stop them. The count is usually higher than expected and the counting alone changes it. Then pick the one you most want to stop, and stop that one.
Whose plain honesty stands out among everyone you know?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
