To live a pure unselfish life, one must count nothing as ones own in the midst of abundance.

REFLECTION
Ownership is partly a feeling, and the feeling tightens as there is more to protect. Holding what you have loosely, as something passing through your hands rather than fused to you, is what keeps abundance from turning into anxiety about abundance. This is addressed to people with something to hold. If you are short this month, nothing here is asking you to give anything away.
Where you do have more than you need of something, including time or skill, try treating a portion as already spoken for by somebody else. Decide the portion in advance. Generosity arranged ahead of time survives moods better than generosity decided in the moment.
What do you hold onto most tightly among your possessions?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
