Silence is deep as Eternity, Speech is shallow as Time.

STILLNESS
Speech happens inside time and gets used up by it, while silence has a different quality altogether, holding more than it says. Anyone who has sat with a person in real trouble knows how quickly words become the shallower offering. The pull to fill a gap usually comes from your own discomfort rather than from anything the other person needs.
Try leaving a pause where you would normally speak. Count to three after someone stops talking, and notice what arrives in the space you did not fill.
What do you notice in silence that noise covers up?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
