You will not be punished for your anger, you will be punished by your anger.

CREATIVITY
No outside judge is needed for anger to exact its price. Held onto, it tightens the body, disturbs sleep, and colours how you see everyone, including people who did nothing wrong. It can also lead to words and actions that damage relationships you care about. Anger is often a useful signal that something is wrong, and it is sometimes entirely justified. The harm comes from nursing it long after it has done its job.
When you notice anger rising, ask what it is protecting or pointing to. Take whatever action is actually needed, and then look for ways to let the heat go, whether through movement, talking, or simply time.
What has your anger cost you that the offence never did?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
