Resourcefulness means the problem does not get to choose all the terms.

A problem arrives with implied terms, about what counts as a solution, what timeline applies, what resources are relevant. Accepting all of them hands over the whole game. Resourcefulness is largely the practice of renegotiating some of those terms rather than solving within all of them.

With your current difficulty, ask which constraints are actually fixed and which you accepted without examining. Change one of the second kind and see how the problem looks.
