It is better to travel well than to arrive.

Arrival is brief and often disappointing, as anybody who has reached a long-held goal can confirm. The going is where nearly all the time is actually spent, so the manner of it, whether you were decent, awake and attentive along the way, ends up being most of the experience. The destination takes credit for a small fraction of the hours.
When a stretch is genuinely hard, such as an illness or a loss, getting through it is enough on its own. Where the road is simply slow, notice whether you are rushing it only to have it finished. Look for one part of it worth having for itself, and give that part your attention this week.
Which journey did you rush through to reach the end?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
