If you light a lamp for somebody, it will also brighten your path.

Helping someone see their way rarely leaves you in the dark. Explaining something clarifies it in your own mind, encouraging another person reminds you of what you believe, and the goodwill it creates tends to come back when you need it. Light is not divided between two people who share it; both can walk by it.

Think of someone near you who is struggling to find a way forward, at work or in life. Offer what you know, or simply your attention, without calculating the return. Afterwards, notice whether your own path looks any clearer than it did before.
