Training is converting future confusion into current preparation.

RESILIENCE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Preparation is a trade you make with your future self. You spend a manageable amount of confusion now, in a setting where failure costs little, so that the same confusion does not arrive later at full price and at the worst possible moment. That is the whole logic of practice, drills, rehearsals, and unglamorous repetition. It moves difficulty from a time when it would hurt to a time when it merely takes patience.

Think about the situation you most dread facing unprepared, then find the small, low stakes version of it you could do this week. Rehearse the hard conversation out loud, run the difficult calculation once while nothing depends on it, walk the route before the day you must not get lost. The point is not perfection but having met the confusion once already.
