There is nothing on this earth more to be prized than true friendship.

GRATITUDE
Among the things people chase, the one that reliably holds its value is being genuinely known by somebody who stays. It does not photograph well and cannot be accumulated. Closeness of that kind is built in unremarkable hours rather than declared, which is why it is easy to underinvest in without noticing.
If you have such a person, the useful move is small and immediate: contact them for no reason at all. If you do not have one right now, that is a common situation and not a verdict on you. Real closeness usually begins as ordinary repeated company rather than as a search for it.
Which friendship deserves more of your time than it currently gets?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
