Personality is only ripe when a man has made the truth his own.

REFLECTION
Plenty of what people believe is borrowed: absorbed from parents, picked up from a crowd, repeated because it sounded right. A person becomes fully themselves only when their convictions have been tested against their own experience and kept because they held. Until then, character is still green, however confident it sounds.
Pick something you believe firmly and ask how you came to believe it. If the answer is that you were told, that is not a reason to drop it. It is an invitation to examine it until you can say why it is yours.
What conviction of yours became truly yours only after testing?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
